Best NFL Week 1 Big/Small Bets

get off Season with highest scoring In NFL history, there have been many high betting totals during the opening weekend. Half of the 16 games scored more than 48 points, and 4 games totaled 50 points.

Here are the five best high/low bets for Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season. The betting odds come from FanDuel sports betting.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills, under 48.5

The Bills beat the Steelers 26-15 in 2020, and Buffalo’s six points were the result of being intercepted for a touchdown. Pittsburgh gave Josh Allen a pass score of 77.5, and the Steelers have now prepared for the Bills quarterback throughout the offseason. The offenses of Allen and Buffalo are difficult to replicate last year’s success. Pittsburgh’s desire to control the ball often slows down the game and creates another game with relatively low scoring.

Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants, under 41.5

New York and Denver will average 37.7 points per game in 2020. Between the Broncos’ mild upgrade from Drew Rock to Teddy Bridgewater and the Giants’ continuous offensive line dilemma, their offense may not be significantly better. On the other hand, defense may be the best in the NFL. Last season, the Giants ranked ninth in scoring defense and opponent yards per game. The Broncos have a pair of Pro-Bowl pass rushers, which can be said to be the top second-tier players in the league.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Tennessee Titans over 52.5

Each team may eventually score 30 points in this game. The Titans averaged more than 30 points per game with Ryan Tannehill as a quarterback in 2019 and 2020. There is not much reason to believe that the mediocre Tennessee defense will be much better. If Kyler Murray makes another leap this season, the Cardinals will get a lot of points.

Green Bay Packers vs. New Orleans Saints over 49.5

The Packers defeated the Saints 37-30 a season ago, although Davant Adams and Michael Thomas did not play. Without Drew Bliss, New Orleans’ offense would be less effective, although this does not necessarily mean that high-scoring games are missing. Jamies Winston made 7 six-pointers last time as a full-time starter. Winston can throw some interceptions to allow Aaron Rogers to play a role in the short court.

Chicago Bears vs. Los Angeles Rams, under 46.5

These teams have faced each other in every game of the past three seasons, and all the duels have been low scores. No game has a total score of more than 34 points. Chicago scored only 17 points in a back-to-back loss in Los Angeles. Matthew Stafford should improve the Rams offense, but the Bears will soon know that this will be a major fight with Andy Dalton at the center position.
