More than 70 bicycle brands are peddling two-wheeled vehicles at the show-bicycles even have two dedicated exhibition halls, which shows that the show is earning IAA’s new nickname “Mobility”.
This is no longer just a meeting of gasoline heads, some names related to fast sports cars rather than bicycles are participating.
The prestigious brand Porsche showed off the bike racks on its new Taycan Turbo S and its own brand electric bikes, in matching colors.
But not all vehicles on display can fulfill their green promises. The Mercedes E-Performance hybrid is the first model of its sports brand AMG, named after electricity, but a fully charged battery can only make the car travel 12 kilometers (7.5 miles).
