President Joe Biden Will travel to California next week to participate in a rally in support of the governor Gavin Newson Before the state’s September 14 governor’s recall election, Newsom’s campaign team announced on Thursday.
The campaign said that Biden will attend a rally in Long Beach on Monday. This event will be the last rally of the Newsom campaign before the special election.
Newsom’s campaign team said in a press release that during the rally, “President Biden will urge Californians to vote against the recall and hand over their votes by Tuesday, September 14.”
Biden’s visit will be less than a week after the vice president Kamala Harris Go to the state alone to support the governor.Harris, representing California in the United States Senate Before Biden chose her as his running mate last year, he appeared at Newsom’s campaign rally in San Leandro on Wednesday.
The president’s visit will be the day before voters decide whether to keep Newsom in office or remove him before the official end of his term. If more than 50% of the voters who returned the ballot said they wanted to remove the governor, he would be replaced by the alternate candidate who received the most votes.
