Newton and Kaepernick were selected in the same year, and their careers have both similar and different paths. Both are at the pinnacle of the game. Both brought their teams to the Super Bowl. Both are double threat quarterbacks, and both are household names.
In the past year, they have been compared to each other for the strength of the quarterback. Newton spent most of his career playing for the Carolina Panthers, but he was released in the summer of 2020. In his free agency market, many fans believe that Kaepernick should be signed by the NFL team.
Newton signed with the Patriots in the last offseason, and Kaepernick has not signed with any team yet.
