Concerns about rising cases of the COVID-19 omicron variant prompted the Chinatown-International District Business Improvement District (CIDBIA) to postpone its Lunar New Year (LNY) celebrations scheduled for February 5.
“Adjusting and navigating the event environment has been challenging over the past few years,” CIDBIA posted on Instagram. “Ultimately, our unwavering priority is the health and safety of our community members, exhibitors, performers and attendees.”
Celebrations have been rescheduled for Saturday, April 30 from 11am to 4pm
“We remain committed to our mission and vision of promoting a welcoming environment for our business and community, and urge you to continue to support the Chinatown-International District in any way you can, especially since Chinese New Year is such an important cultural event for this community.”
