However, accommodation can sometimes be expensive, so you may be looking for more economical options such as camping. On the other hand, maybe you just want the experience of camping in a beautiful location! Either way, there are some great camping options around the Cinque Terre.

Can you camp in the Cinque Terre?
Camping is not permitted in the Cinque Terre National Park. Park authorities do not allow any form of backcountry camping or camping outside designated campgrounds. However, there are several campsites near the Cinque Terre, as you can see in the photo below.
The best campsites in Cinque Terre
These are our favorites for getting around the Cinque Terre with ease, while keeping you away from the busy areas and back to your nearby accommodation.
Campsites La Sfinge
This campsite is located in Deiva Marina, about 15 minutes by train from the Cinque Terre, between there and Portofino.
It offers a spacious site for tents and campers as well as bungalows and mobile homes. The campsite has a mini market, a laundry room and a shuttle service to the train station.
The views from the campsite are stunning, with the Ligurian mountains in the background.
In high season prices range from €7 for a tent to €95 for a mobile home.

Valdeva Campgrounds
Also located in Deiva Marina between Portofino and Cinque Terre, this campsite offers shaded sites for tents and campers, bungalows and mobile homes.
The campsite has a swimming pool, bar restaurant, playground, pizzeria, hot showers, washing machines and a shuttle service to the train station.
Prices range from €10 per person per night for tented camps to €70 per night for bungalows in the village part of the camp.
It’s set in a peaceful valley surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, just a short train ride from the Cinque Terre.

Camping Emerald
Set in a pine forest overlooking the sea, this campsite is ideal for exploring the nearby Cinque Terre and the rest of the surrounding area.
Open from March to November, about 1 hour drive from the Cinque Terre, 800 m from the village of Moneglia and 1 km from the Cinque Terre train station.
It offers tented sites, caravans and bungalows with sea views. Tented sites start from 40 EUR per camp and bungalows from 100 EUR per night. The camp village contains a small supermarket, games room, bar, pizzeria, restaurant and laundry facilities, and you can hire canoes and paddle boards.

Del Uribe Camping
The campsite is located in Deiva Marina on typical Ligurian terraces, just 100 meters from the sea and 25 minutes by train from the Cinque Terre.
It offers tented sites and bungalows, and has dishwashing, laundry and bathroom facilities, a children’s play area and games area.
Prices for pitches start at €13 in high season and €80 for bungalows.

camping river
This campsite is just 500 meters from the village of Ameglia, near the border between Liguria and Tuscany.
It offers sites for tents and campers, as well as bungalows, mobile homes and gaming tents.
The camp has a bar-restaurant and is located on the banks of the Magra River, with views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
Facilities include children’s playground, sports ground, two large swimming pools, mini market and bar restaurant. You can also rent bikes and boats from the campsite.
Mobile homes for 4-6 people from €100 per night, prefabricated marquee tents for 4-8 people from €140 per night, tent pitches for 2 adults from €14 per night.
It’s about 40 minutes’ drive from the Cinque Terre, which is further than other options, but still an ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre and its surroundings.

Camping Maremonti
This campsite is in Sestri Levante, about 30 minutes by train from the Cinque Terre.
It offers sites for tents and campers, as well as glamping and mobile homes. Tents from €28, luxury tents from €60 and mobile homes from €70.
The campsite has two swimming pools, a bar restaurant, a mini market, a laundromat and a seaside shuttle. It is located on a hill surrounded by olive groves and offers great views of the sea and mountains.

sweet water camping
This campsite is located near Levanto, near the western edge of the Cinque Terre National Park, and is easily accessible by train. It’s smaller than some of the other campgrounds, but offers sites for tents and RVs.
Prices start at €31 for a tented campsite and €43 for a campervan.
The campground features a winery with a small restaurant, playground, hot water, laundry and refrigerator services, and a picnic area.
It is located in a pine forest, just a few steps from the beach. You can rent bikes, boats, canoes, surfboards and windsurfers off-site.

Iron Gate Holiday Park
Iron Gate Holiday Park is located in Sarzana within the tourist port of Marina 3b at the end of La Spezia, Cinque Terre. It takes about an hour by car or train.
They offer tented sites, mobile homes and bungalows. There are entertainment venues and playgrounds, a mini market, laundry, boat rentals and free Wi-Fi. Tented sites from €27, bungalows from €100.

During peak season, campsites in the Cinque Terre can fill up quickly. It is best to book in advance to ensure you have a place to camp.
