According to Comcast Cable’s trade name Xfinity, early Tuesday, there was a peak power outage in the California Bay Area. At around 8:30 am Eastern Time, 53,000 people reported interruption of Internet service. DownDetector.com.
Verizon and T-Mobile customers also reported service issues with DownDetector.
The company later stated on Twitter that the issue had been “resolved.”
“Earlier, some customers experienced intermittent service interruptions due to network issues. We have resolved this issue and are now restoring services for affected customers because we will continue to investigate the root cause. We apologize to those affected ,” Company tweets read.
The number of reports soared for the first time around 1 a.m. Eastern Time, and then expanded from the Bay Area to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Illinois.For Comcast users, estimates from the company’s outage website claim They will fix the power outage before 11 a.m.
Comcast did not disclose the cause of the power outage.
Many customers complained that the service was completely interrupted.
According to DownDetector, as of 10 am Eastern Time, there have been thousands of reports of service outages.
