Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action will host a webinar on compensation on November 19. The webinar will be hosted by Dr. Ron Daniels, founder and president of the Institute for the Black World in the 21st Century (IBW), and co-hosted by Larry Gossett and Alice Ito from the following organizations.
Gossett is an iconic civil rights and human rights leader, a former King County councillor, and Ito is a senior advisor for racial equality at the Seattle Foundation.
Co-sponsors of the webinar include Seattle, LELO, WA Faith Action Network and United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 21.
Under the leadership of Dr. Daniels, IBW developed a 10-point compensation plan.
NAARC also supports HR-40, a Congressional legislation that will establish a national committee to study compensation recommendations for African Americans.
