Full Body HIIT – Boxing


Coach Angela is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Kickboxing Instructor and Betty Rocker Team Coach.

You’ll be in one of our newest trainers today, Coach Angela, who specializes in kickboxing training with her many talents!You can find her teaching and guidance at rock your life (my online home fitness studio and women’s fitness community) as a busy working mom kicking ass in her daily life.

Here’s Coach Angela’s notes on why she loves this type of workout so much, and some encouragement for you if these moves are newer or more challenging:


I love kickboxing because it’s a great cardio exercise that helps improve core balance and stability, improves coordination and relieves stress (as a mom, I really appreciate playing this way and reducing stress .what!). Taekwondo is also a skill to learn and practice, which makes it fun.

When I was new to kickboxing, some moves seemed intimidating and tricky, but with practice, I improved. It’s really a fulfilling and confidence-building thing to try something new, practice it, and then look back on your progress to realize how far you’ve come.

So at any point, if you feel like your brain and your body are having a communication block, remember to go with the flow and move on.

I hope this workout will challenge you, but I know you’ll have a lot of fun with it too!

Equipment: Wall or chair back, optional weights (water bottle, boxing gloves, wrist/ankle weights), optional elevated surface.

Format: 0:30 each for the first round, 0:45 each for the second round, and 1:00 each for the third round.

Round 1

  • jab, cross, duck
  • low wall kick
  • Crunches
  • jab, same hook, cross, same hook
  • Alt forward lunge punch
  • Jumping Jack Punch
  • push ups
  • side step, side kick left
  • side step, side kick right
