Marshall Aerospace underlines its status as the world’s leading Lockheed Martin-approved C-130 heavy-duty repair center by contracting with Lockheed Martin for 12-year maintenance inspections of the Indian Air Force’s C-130J fleet The qualifications of the C-130J aircraft are super Hercules.
The contract will allow the company to conduct in-depth maintenance inspections of India’s C-130J fleet, while further strengthening their longstanding relationship with Lockheed Martin. Delivered to the Indian Air Force under the US government’s foreign military sales program, the aircraft is an outstanding example of political and military cooperation.
“Importantly, we can rely on our long-term service centre, Marshall Aerospace, to support one of the most active C-130J fleets in the world. With an integrated team and dedicated support, we can together ensure that the Indian Air Force’s C-130J aircraft Teams are always available and ready for every mission,” commented Curtis Jones, Lockheed Martin C-130 India Program Manager.
India first acquired the platform in 2008 and in recent years has continued to procure additional airframes through the US government and Lockheed Martin to support its tactical airlift needs and currently operates a fleet of 12 C-130J aircraft .

The Indian Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules feature a highly integrated and complex configuration, primarily designed to support India’s special operational needs. The aircraft is also used to support a variety of critical missions, including humanitarian assistance, airlift, natural disaster support, and search and rescue operations.
