Newsom also mentioned Elder, while hinting on the Zoom conference call on Thursday night that his views are inconsistent with the majority of California voters, putting forward many of the same views he repeated on Friday.

The current minimum wage in California is $14 per hour for employers with 26 or more employees, and $13 per hour for employers with 25 or fewer employees.
