Give our bedroom a little makeover

Things have been a bit chaotic here lately. Work has been busy, I can't complain about that, I'm always happy to be busy in that area, but that's gone!
Homeschooling continues as usual, my oldest son has been really bad the last 8 months. We are now facing some major tests in hospital this week to confirm his diagnosis (all general tests) so it is very stressful.
Our older dog Bruce is in poor health and our puppy really should have ASBO! He has a full-time job.
So trust me, when bedtime comes, I more Better than ready!

Planning a mini makeover in our bedroom

Our bedroom is one of my favorite places to relax. Having done all of the above, I made the most of the time I spent there.
Since this is a relaxing place, I like it to be as tidy, nice and airy as possible. We store enough stuff around the house, but my bedroom is no good place to be a dumping ground!
That being said, it's been a while since we've been decorating our bedroom, so the smell of spring is giving me some motivation to get started.

Choose the right bed

The bed is the most important thing to me when it comes to making my bedroom comfortable and cozy. A cheap but poorly constructed bed = poor sleep.
That's why I chose the Simba as our new bed. Simba bed frames are crafted with care and attention to detail to stand the test of time, providing a solid foundation for countless nights of restful sleep.
I love that Simba offers a variety of options to suit your personal style and bedroom decor.I chose ludlow bed frame Peacock, it will give a gorgeous pop of color among the creams and neutrals I currently have.
We also wanted some extra storage space so I chose a footstool base which will be super handy!

My review will be posted soon so you can check it out for yourself.

some new accessories

I've bought a lot of pads, but I bought some new ones and they are much fuller than some of my existing pads.
A few of my duvet sets also needed replacing, so I bought some new ones to give the space a fresh look.

greening

One of my spider plants had a lot of young shoots, so I moved them to separate pots. Once they are strong enough I will replant some and add some greenery to the bedroom. I love houseplants and spider plants are great oxygenators too!

rearrange furniture

I think just a little bit of movement can bring a fresh feel to the room. And, it doesn’t cost a penny! So I'm going to rearrange the units, I might even get rid of the bedside and replace it with some floating shelves.

I'm looking forward to lighting up our bedroom and will be posting an update on its progress soon.

Do you have any home improvement plans?
