The beauty of baking salmon and asparagus together is that they only take about 10 minutes to become completely tender. If you don’t like asparagus, you can substitute other quick-cooking vegetables in this salmon teriyaki recipe. Chopped green cauliflower, radishes, sweet peas, or broccoli are also good choices.
like these Blackened Salmon Tacos or this Salmon and orzo bake, you don’t need much else to make this meal complete. White or brown rice on the side can soak up the sauce, but the marinade also tastes better than salad greens if you don't want to dirty another pot.
Ingredients for Pan Grilled Salmon and Asparagus
The more chopping any recipe calls for, the longer it will usually take, even if total recipe time is not taken into account. That's why I simplified the steps for this recipe. By the way, this Grilled Salmon and Asparagus recipe will work with any of my gluten-free sauce recipes! If teriyaki isn’t your thing, this one Balsamic Pork Marinade or this Gluten Free Chicken Marinade Also works great on salmon.
How to Make Gluten-Free Teriyaki Glaze
Gluten Free Teriyaki Marinade is one that I have used hundreds of times with different proteins. When I have more time I will use it to make this Teriyaki Pork Recipe. But chicken works too! If you have a little extra time, the salmon tastes especially good if you marinate it overnight. But I promise it will still taste delicious with just a quick move around in the sauce (like this Barbecue grilled salmon). Plus, the added concentrated glaze makes up for it.
This Grilled Teriyaki Salmon is already gluten-free, but you can also make it low-FODMAP by omitting the garlic, using only shallots, and substituting bok choy, radishes, or broccoli for the asparagus. or simply take a look at this Low FODMAP Sheet Pan Salmon Recipe.
