How I Changed My Routine to Improve My Health | Advertisement

Since becoming a work-at-home mom, I’ve realized that I need to learn more about my health and put in more effort to take care of myself.
When you work from home, you have to be more focused. For example, take a walk or exercise to ensure your physical activity.

Also eating properly and trying not to overindulge in snacks (the latter was my downfall). It’s very easy to eat at home compared to your workplace where you have a fixed dinner time.

There are ways to make sure I get the nutrients I need. As a work-at-home mom and homeschooling of two sons, one of whom has autism, I need to do everything I can to prepare myself for a busy day at home.
I’ve been working with very recently and they have some Wonderful Products for Food Prep and help health. Using some of these in my daily life has drastically changed the way I am physically and mentally healthy.

I always set my alarm early so that I have a chance to get up normally.

There’s nothing I hate more than having to chase after bed. It always leaves me feeling tired, grumpy and unmotivated.
I like to get up early and have a quiet cup of tea before the kids get up.
Then I work out, no big deal, sometimes online workouts or spending half an hour on my sandbag.
Then I follow my workout with a protein shake. This is a brand new thing for me, but I really like them.

Thanks to the weekly meal plan, I am very organized when it comes to meal times. I am also a big fan of Ninja and I have been trying the Ninja 15 in 1 multi foody recently.

We all love homemade falafel and incorporate them into our weekly meal plans. I knocked out a batch using the air fryer function to give me a low fat version and it turned out really well.

I used a simple white bread dough and made some Greek style flatbreads. I put several falafel in each falafel, along with a little cucumber salad and some homemade raita. This makes a lovely change to Craig’s lunchbox.

I love going outdoors with my kids. We love taking our dogs for walks and we also have National Trust and English Heritage memberships which we love to use.
Sitting indoors behind a desk for a long time can be tedious!

Getting outside for fresh air always makes me feel happier and certainly more productive. Walking along the canal is one of our favorite routes, and I prefer to walk in scenic spots rather than architectural ones. I think it’s better for the soul (you can take some epic photos!).

I always put myself on the back burner when it comes to self-care. I think most of us moms do. We care about our buddies, kids, pets, hell, and even houseplants all in front of me! Ha ha.
Making a little time for myself is something I have scheduled.Whether it’s reading a book, hanging out with friends, or enjoying one of my hobbies, such as crochet, gardening, games, etc.
The opportunity to close and enjoy some downtime is very welcome here!
