For Jayden’s nursery, I wanted to blend a simple modern bohemian style with neutral tones. I like the idea of creating a space that feels bright, airy and tidy. To create a sustainable nursery, we mixed new and second-hand works. It is so fun to collect wooden toys for him to play and read with books in this space.
We have a convertible crib that can be turned into a crib, so we can use it for many years to come. I am not sure if I need a nursing chair, but I am glad we got one. I strongly recommend buying one with a footstool. Dave and I have been using it, and it is very comfortable. (If you have enough space, it’s worth it!) The same goes for the changing table.
My partner added a shelf in the closet, so we don’t think we need a dressing table. I like to organize everything in a basket for storage. We chose a gray fluffy carpet, which looks irrespective of gender.
I designed a custom map of California (where I come from) for wall art, and found a Pinterest tutorial to make bohemian lace feathers. One of my favorite things about wall stickers is that you can peel them off and move them around. Now that Jayden is old and can crawl, we moved the animal decals to his line of sight so that he can also enjoy them.
