How to create a superior experience for your customers

Marketing Podcast by Dan Gingiss

In this episode Tape Marketing Podcast, I interviewed Dan Kingis. And is An international keynote speaker and coach, he believes that excellent customer experience is your best sales and marketing strategy. His 20-year career includes leadership positions at McDonald’s, Discover and Humana. He is too– Experience creator: how to create an excellent experience that customers can’t wait to share.

Key points:

How does the company stand out in the ever-evolving crowded market? The answer is customer experience. The best part of the customer experience is that it is provided by someone unique to your company. No one else owns your person, which means you can provide a customer experience that no one else can. It’s time to make your customer experience a competitive advantage.

In this episode, I discussed with keynote speaker and coach Dan Gingiss how listening to and interacting with customers can really help you acquire new customers. Instead of spending more money on marketing and trying to acquire new customers, it is better to focus on providing excellent experiences for existing customers.

Questions I asked Dan Gingis:

  • [1:25] “In a recent survey, 86% of people admitted to paying more for a better experience.”-What do you think of this statistic?
  • [2:58] Why give priority to providing a better experience for the company-is there some deep-seated psychological reason why we don’t do this?
  • [7:43] There is a framework in your book that you call Wise R-can you help us unravel this acronym?
  • [12:05] It is difficult to track the return on investment of the customer experience. No one gets a quota for creating an evangelist. So, what did you do to track and measure its ideas?
  • [14:21] Can you talk more about the significant cost savings from the better customer experience that you introduced in the book?
  • [16:01] What is your impression of the role that technology plays in all of this?
  • [18:58] Are there examples of good IVR systems you have encountered?
  • [20:51] Are we ready to make the “experience creator” a role in the company? Should every company have one?
  • [22:31] Where can people find out more about Experience Maker or any work you are doing that you want to share?
