Mulled wine is a great substitute for hot todi or coffee and kajura, so this is what my family will get at any gathering I host this fall and winter.
Mulled wine is cheap and easy to fix immediately. I suggest using cheap red wine, a fruity, full-bodied red wine. The first step in mixing is to roast the spices in a pan.
Roasted spices Enhance their flavor, bring out aromatic oils, and increase their flavor complexity by layering in the warm, toasty flavor. It also makes your kitchen smell good!
Next, add the roasted spices to the wine earthenware pot, add a little honey and cider, and let it simmer slowly.
It’s that simple! I also like to add lemon and orange slices and a little Gran Gala to the earthen jar. I use it instead of Gran Marnier because it is cheaper.
If you want, you can omit Gran Gala and add it to every glass, but since everyone in my family likes any drink with a small amount of adult juice, I add Gran Gala to the pot. Don’t judge us! !
Now get ready to fill your glass and snuggle by the fire
