Elela Internet of Things Built on Inmarsat ELERA’s ultra-reliable connection backbone. It provides comprehensive and flexible tools for enterprises, distribution partners, and IoT solution or ecosystem providers.
Inmarsat today launched ELERA IoT, a platform for IoT connected services, solutions and ecosystems.
ELERA IoT is built on the connectivity backbone of Inmarsat ELERA, which is the world’s most reliable Internet of Things (IoT) and secure narrowband connectivity network.
ELERA IoT provides enterprises, IoT solution developers, original equipment manufacturers (OEM), IoT as a service providers and Inmarsat distribution partners with satellite connectivity tools to meet all their IoT needs.
ELERA IoT’s series of reliable, global, fully mobile and easy-to-use connectivity services are applicable to all industries and locations, helping companies to promote their IoT progress and innovation today and in the future. Companies can use the small-size IsatData Pro (IDP) to track assets, use BGAN M2M for monitoring, or use Inmarsat’s powerful new leasing service to create their own IoT ecosystem or commercial products. In addition to these currently available services, Inmarsat is also developing new IoT connectivity services and is cooperating with ORBCOMM to develop the next generation of IoT services OGx, providing a first-class combination of high-bandwidth data packets and low-cost terminals. These services are expected to be Launched in 2022.
ELERA IoT demonstrates the powerful capabilities of Inmarsat’s leasing capabilities and also provides a connection structure for innovative IoT ecosystem providers including ORBCOMM, Hiber and Skylo. In addition, the Inmarsat Application and Solution Provider (ASP) program is a market for IoT solutions that can be applied anywhere. ASP providers are fully integrated with the ELERA network and developed by industry innovators to provide disruptive solutions for the agriculture, power utilities, mining, oil and gas, and transportation and logistics sectors.
