Lynk & Co, a global mobility brand jointly established by Geely Holdings, Geely Automobile Group and Volvo Car Group, launched the “Always Connected” car.
The vehicle uses the Internet of Things (IoT) network and infrastructure from Orange Business Services to deliver Connect to the driver’s service.

The car includes a sharing button that enables car owners to generate revenue through sharing functions. Lynk & Co members can also control, monitor and share their cars through a smartphone app, which communicates with the car through the cloud.
The in-vehicle technology is designed to be as easy to use as possible, with no hidden extra features. All cars have large configurable touch screens and telematics, and they are always connected to the Internet and the car cloud.
A truly connected car
Orange has worked closely with Lynk & Co and its sister company CEVT (an innovative technology company under Geely Holdings) to build solutions that support Lynk & Co’s business and operating model.Every car will benefit Orange’s IoT manages global connections Solutions that provide secure and seamless integration Connected car service, Internet access and online tracking. For example, this allows it to provide downloadable billing reports and predictive maintenance updates.
A SIM with a unified global footprint is integrated in the manufacturing process. Orange IoT cellular connection allows users to roam between different providers as needed, thereby enjoying the same experience across regions.

Consumers can directly buy Lynk & Co cars and share cars to generate additional income or rent them on a monthly basis. Car and mobile members can be purchased online or from Lynk & Co clubs, which are designed to be more social gathering places than showrooms. Three clubs were opened in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Gothenburg, followed by Berlin, followed by other clubs in Barcelona, Milan and Paris.
