Sierra Wireless, a leading provider of IoT solutions, today announced that its EM9190 5G New Radio (NR) embedded module has been integrated into Mobile Viewpoint’s new Agile Ultra 5G mobile encoder.

The Agile Ultra 5G mobile encoder is powered by EM9190, enabling broadcasters, video production companies, emergency personnel, and security services to remotely manage real-time 4K Ultra HD video production from a central location without compromising the reliability or quality of the video. This allows them to avoid sending production staff and live broadcast (OB) vehicles to incidents, emergencies, or other locations, thereby significantly reducing video production costs.
CP Communications is a live event production solution provider headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, and it has partnered with Mobile Viewpoint to test its Agile Ultra 5G mobile encoder in the United States.
