Very suitable for smart buildings, peeling and pasting sensors benefit from LoRaWAN® integration to achieve low power consumption.
Semtech Corporation announced that it has partnered with DIC Corp. to develop a new HatteTotte sensor series, which runs through the LoRaWAN® standard and can measure temperature, humidity, and light in a space.
Its integration with LoRaWAN allows low power consumption and long-distance communication, making the sensor ideal Smart building applications In shopping malls, workplaces, homes/apartments, etc.
“DIC Group is committed to helping create a society that adds rich’color and comfort’ to people’s lives. When developing the HatteTotte sensor, the simplicity and design of the space are the primary considerations,” Said Hidefumi Nishi, DIC company manager, technology and marketing director (equipment).
“The stylish design of the sensor and the flexibility to install it almost anywhere in the building not only provide building managers with cost-saving benefits, but it also provides potential life-saving benefits for those most vulnerable to dangerous temperature changes. Unique , Elastic and soft shell minimizes the risk of falling. HatteTotte sensors can be adapted to all uses, giving owners peace of mind and ensuring that all residents are always safe.”
The ease of installation of the HatteTotte sensor stems from the sensor’s thin, peel-off, and rod design, allowing the sensor to be installed almost anywhere in the smart building environment. Once the sensor is installed, deployment is simple and can be easily set up via a personal computer, where the end user can monitor the temperature, humidity, and light in the space, and automate accordingly to improve comfort. HatteTotte sensor is very thin, there is a regular version or a waterproof version, easy to install, with peeling and sticking function, built-in battery can last up to 5 years.
“As we act after the pandemic, monitoring the environment in an area is important to create a safe and healthy space for all,” Said Marc Pégulu, vice president of marketing and strategy for IoT products in the Semtech Wireless and Sensing Products Group.
“DIC uses LoRaWAN for its HatteTotte sensors, demonstrating the superior ease of use and deployment of IoT solutions that can create a smarter planet for its customers.”
