Today we're going to delve into an idiom that I've been meaning to write about for a long time, but only remembered to put on my “to-do” list yesterday. This idiom is pleasing to the eye on the edge!
at the last stop
It's almost over/It's almost over
Imagine taking a sip from your water bottle and tipping it over, only to find some drop (drop) left. Likewise, “at the Drops” in this idiom means that something is coming to an end, such as a bottle of wine or a person's life, or that an event is coming to an end.
This bottle of wine is almost gone! Do we have another one?
This bottle of wine is almost finished! Do we have another one?
