Italian Idiom: It's almost over

Today we're going to delve into an idiom that I've been meaning to write about for a long time, but only remembered to put on my “to-do” list yesterday. This idiom is pleasing to the eye on the edge!

Imagine taking a sip from your water bottle and tipping it over, only to find some drop (drop) left. Likewise, “at the Drops” in this idiom means that something is coming to an end, such as a bottle of wine or a person's life, or that an event is coming to an end.
