Tags #IWillNotComply Popular Twitter Thursday after the President Joe Biden Ordered a COVID-19 vaccine that could affect up to 100 million Americans.
When announcing the mission, Biden said that his “patience” for those who choose not to get vaccinated has been “wasted” because the virus continues to surge. This authorization applies to most federal employees, health care workers, companies that have contracts with the government, and private companies that employ 100 or more workers. Authorization includes the option to be tested for COVID-19 on a weekly basis instead of being vaccinated.
Biden’s statement evoked different reactions on the Internet, and strong opinions for and against this task were expressed. On Twitter, the hashtag #IWillNotComply is used by people who angrily insist that they will refuse to get vaccinated, regardless of possible consequences including loss of work.
Conservative talk radio host Jeff Kuhner said on Twitter: “Joe Biden’s illegal, unconstitutional and authoritarian federal vaccine authorization has been completely dictatorial.” “More than 80 million U.S. People-myself included-are now faced with this painful choice: jab or my job. Biden’s regime is now a dictatorship. #IwillNOTComply #MAGA”

“Livestock is involuntary,” conservative political cartoonist Ben Garrison wrote on Twitter. “Man is not a livestock. #IwillNOTComply”
Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger falsely claimed in an earlier tweet that the COVID-19 vaccine is “not a vaccine” and used hashtags to agree with podcast host Tim Pool , The latter only tweeted “I will not comply” after the order was issued.

“If you work for the federal government (except @USPS), a Medicare/Medicaid-related healthcare company, or any employer with more than 100 employees, #IwillNOTComply looks like quitting, so for most people, this Not very attractive to Americans,” Nicholas Sarwark, executive director of the Liberal Policy Institute, wrote on Twitter.

There are also a large number of Twitter users who use hashtags to criticize or ridicule those who swear to refuse vaccinations or make irrelevant jokes.
“Everyone who seriously tweeted #IwillNOTComply is about a month away from launching GoFundMe to help pay rent,” said Twitter columnist Rex Huppke.
User @Quotemeorelse tweeted: “The irony of #IwillNOTComply is that all of you will be unemployed and get government assistance.”
“Can the people on the #IwillNOTComply tag list their occupations so that the rest of us who are vaccinated can see what our job options are?” artist Amy Davis Ross wrote on Twitter. “thanks.”
