Democratic strategist James Cavill was praised on Twitter after opposing media reports of the aftermath of an attack on President Joe Biden’s withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
In conversation With Brian Williams On Wednesday night, Cavill reflected on the backlash facing Biden as people tried to leave Afghanistan before the August 31st deadline for American troops to withdraw from the country.
“There is no elegant way to lose a war. We lost this war 15 years ago. Everything about Joe Biden just tells us what time it is. The hysterical and stupid reports in the mainstream media are terrible,” he told Williams.
On Thursday, Cavill’s name became a hot topic and people praised him for sharing his Afghanistan.
“James Cavill made it very clear, and I am grateful-we lost a war-we lost a long time ago-and there is no lovely way to get rid of it,” One person wrote.
At the same time, it was suggested that Cavill’s statement would eventually be admired and remembered.
“History will agree with James Cavill. The war needs to end. The bombing at Kabul Airport is tragic, but we need to keep going and get as many people out of there as possible,” Personally wrote.
