New York City-based startup Jasper Health announced Tuesday that it has raised $25 million to continue improving its cancer care navigation platform, grow its sales and operations teams and invest in research.
The Series A round was led by General Catalyst, Human Capital, W Health Ventures, Redesign Health and 7wireVentures also contributed. The latest fundraiser brings Jasper’s total funding to about $31 million, the company said in a statement. Press Releases.
According to the company, nearly 12,000 cancer patients and their caregivers have used Jasper since the service launched last year. The company’s survey of patients using its app found 70% reported reduced stress and anxiety; nearly 80% reported improved medication adherence; and almost all said they found it easier to keep track of appointments.
Many health care organizations, including cancer treatment centers, offer a full range of services designed to help patients and families navigate and manage difficulties after diagnosis. Organizations like OncoHealth and Carevive work to make the complexities of cancer care easier to manage for patients and providers. But Jasper and its funders see its model and planned expansion as bringing it into its own comprehensive category.

As the company focuses on value-based care, the funds raised could also help reduce cancer treatment costs for patients and health organizations, Pellegrini said.
