Jennifer Coolidge responded to fans’ calls on social media, saying that she will play Melania Trump in future film projects.
In the interview protectorCoolidge was asked about her thoughts on social media posts, saying that she is very similar to Trump and that she could play the former first lady in a potential biopic.
“It’s a compliment. Where do I sign,” Coolidge replied with a smile. “However, between you and me, I believe Melania will be frustrated.”
When asked about other genres she would be interested in trying, the “Legal Blonde” star said: “I would love to go back to the theater to perform a serious drama. Of course there is also Melania’s biopic.”
Since FLOTUS was interviewed three years ago, social media users have been seeking Coolidge to portray Trump in a project.

During her husband’s presidency, many actresses played Trump on TV, including Cecily Strong on “Saturday Night Live” and Laura Benanti, the latter on CBS’ Stephen “Colbert Late Night Show” played the former first lady.
At the same time, in an interview, Coolidge also started her acting career at the age of 59. She admitted that she was “very lucky” in accepting “the plump roles of middle-aged women.”
