A federal judge rejected former President Donald Trump’s request to block documents regarding his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, which was released to the committee on January 6.
District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan stated that his efforts are “Too early“, and said she plans to “promptly” hear the case. Chutkan is expected to rule on whether these documents can be handed over to the House Committee by Friday.
The judge still doubts whether Trump can win his case, and he claims to control his records. Trump said that if he loses, he will appeal.
Unless a higher court intervenes, the archivist intends to release the documents to the House Committee on Friday. The committee is investigating the role of Trump supporters on Capitol Hill in the riots on January 6 to prevent verification of the results.

Chakan seems Tends to decline requests When she questioned the legal basis for a former president’s claim of administrative privileges on his records, she knew that the current president and Congress disagree with Trump. The National Archives stated that Trump is trying to block 750 pages out of 1,500 about his efforts to overthrow the election.
Trump’s lawyer Jesse Binall wrote that the case should be decided after “thorough but prompt consideration”, not “a race against time”.
“President Trump requires this court to rule on his preliminary injunction motion, and if applicable, to rule on this motion no later than Wednesday, November 10, 2021. If no order is issued by then, the plaintiff will interpret the court’s silence as Rejected and appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Washington Circuit,” Trump’s lawyer said in a document.
