Most keto salmon recipes lean towards heavier dairy ingredients like butter, cream cheese, heavy cream or Parmesan cheese.This one is lighter and doesn’t need any of that, but if that’s the type of recipe you’re looking for, try mine tuscan salmon (with cream sauce sun dried tomatoes and spinach) or Parmesan Crusted Salmon instead.

What sets this salmon apart from other glazed recipes is that the keto salmon glaze uses Wholesome Brassica Honey! Regular honey is too high in carbs for keto, but this honey substitute has absolutely 0 grams of net carbsā€”and it tastes, bakes, and drizzles just like honey, with the same Deliciousness and texture.

How to Make Keto Salmon

  1. Prepare. Preheat oven to Broil setting. If your oven has multiple roast settings, choose the high setting (or whatever setting is on your oven that’s 500 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. Season the salmon. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Make the glaze. in a big bowlwhisk together keto honey, coconut aminos, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and ginger powder (if using).

  1. Marinated salmon. Place salmon in a bowl, then turn over to coat with glaze. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes and up to 1 hour. Toss salmon fillets in marinade to coat before cooking.

  1. bake. Cook the keto salmon in the oven about 6 inches from the heating element. See the tips below for the best way to avoid overcooking.
  2. decorate. I like to top it with chopped onions, but if you don’t have any on hand, fresh parsley will work too.

  • Pat dry before seasoning and marinating. This helps the glaze penetrate the salmon better and helps lock in moisture while cooking.
  • Marinate at room temperature. This allows your salmon to come to room temperature while brining, which is ideal for even cooking. I don’t recommend marinating for more than 1 hour.
  • If your salmon has skin on, cook it skin side down. Baking keto salmon with the skin on will also make it tastier, so if your salmon has skin, don’t remove it. If you don’t like it, you can always choose not to eat it.
  • Do not overcook. The best way to avoid dry fish is to use meat thermometer Check the internal temperature of the fish. For perfect salmon that doesn’t dry out, the ideal internal temperature is 135-140Ā°F (57-60Ā°C). If you haven’t, you can test with a fork to see if it flakes off easily and still looks moist on the inside.

  • shop: For maximum freshness, wrap Keto Baked Salmon tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, or transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. It will last for 3-4 days.
