The ranking considers factors such as quality of life, ease of settlement, and cost of living, as well as life abroad during the Covid-19 pandemic. Respondents were also invited to express their opinions on the convenience of the public transportation system in the city where they currently live, the local housing market, employment opportunities, and social life.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok are ranked 5th, 6th and 11th respectively after Kuala Lumpur.

Bangkok ranks low in terms of career opportunities and urban environment
The survey shows that expats living in Bangkok are impressed by the relatively low cost of living, affordable housing and mostly friendly locals. However, the poor quality of life in cities, including pollution, noise and traffic, and our lack of career opportunities for them, were rated as disadvantages.
