Lady Gaga played the role of Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani in the highly anticipated movie “House of Gucci”. She felt that everyone paid too much attention to her accent.
“To be honest, I do feel that I have worked on my accent for so long, and I have worked on my character for so long, which is already sensational,” she said. New York Times Thursday.
The 35-year-old singer-turned actress explained that it is easier for her to stay in the role for a long time than to get in and out of the role again and again.
“I think if I don’t practice so much, it will have more impact on me,” She told the media“For me, getting in and out of roles on set is more difficult than staying inside.”
Gaga told the Associated Press earlier that it took her several months to get the perfect accent. She said it at the premiere of “Gucci House” at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London on Tuesday.
She admitted that she didn’t know whether Regiani’s role would completely “leave” her.
The official Twitter account of “Gucci House” shared the highlights of the event on Wednesday.
This is not the first time Gaga talks about her accent in a movie.She told British Fashion Magazine Earlier this month, she started making this character three years ago.
“I will be completely honest and transparent: I am like [Reggiani] One and a half years. During those nine months, I kept speaking with an accent. Off the machine, I have never broken.I stayed with her,” she told reporters Export.
In order to establish a connection with the character, Gaga accepted photography, although she “has no evidence that Patrizia is a photographer.”
“House of Gucci” is adapted from the true story of Regiani, who was convicted of ordering the assassination of her ex-husband. It is also composed of Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Salma Hayek, Camille Curtin, Jeremy Irons, Jeremy Iron, Reeve Carney Starring with Mehdi Neb.
The film is directed by Ridley Scott and is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 24.
