Los Angeles International Airport announced that after the police received a “suspicious item” alert, it had closed the lower floors.

As officials investigated the package, passengers were told that the lower and arrival floors would be closed.

Los Angeles International Airport said that traffic will move from the lower level to the upper departure level.

California Airport Twitter Account released on Thursday morning: “Due to police activity on suspicious items, the lower/arrival floor is temporarily closed, and traffic must use the upper departure floor.”

Just a few weeks after the Los Angeles International Airport Terminal 2 was evacuated, the authorities are investigating a suspicious package.

The police closed the road on the upper departure level and diverted traffic to the lower level.

The terminal was reopened later, but it did disrupt passengers who had been hoping to travel as smoothly as possible before the July 4th holiday.
