Romelu Lukaku has already transferred to Chelsea and he has made great promises for his second job at the club.
Chelsea paid Inter Milan a transfer fee of 97.5 million pounds (133.9 million US dollars) to take him home, and he has vowed to live up to this fee.
“The dream is now a reality, so I have to prove myself on the court,” The 28-year-old said. “Now I’m here, it’s time to start working and let my performance speak for itself. This is a dressing room with a personality, and I am very happy to come back. As a football player, you are fighting to realize your dreams. I am now Here, I can’t wait to perform with my teammates on the court.”
The transfer is less than a week away, but Lukaku is determined to prove his worth to Chelsea fans because he also announced that he can participate in the game against Arsenal this Sunday.
“If Jing Ideal plays with me, I can find him,” Lukaku told the media.
After leaving the club to join Rome this summer, Lukaku will wear Tammy Abraham’s No. 9 jersey.
“Maturity is important. I think I know more about myself and set a higher standard for myself,” said the former Manchester United striker.
“As a player, as the game in Italy becomes more different, it becomes more complete. The space is more compact, more technical and tactical, which helps me a lot. The English game is different, but For me, this is nothing new, just come back here to adapt to my teammates. No matter what game plan the coach has, I can adapt and help the team.”
With this determination to help the club reach a higher level, Belgium’s best scorer in history is ready to make an explosive return to the Premier League when he visits Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, August 22.
