No-Bake Chocolate Espresso Protein Bar


These simple no-bake protein bars are a delicious snack that tastes like dessert!

Chocolate Espresso Protein Bar

You will need: Measuring cup and spoon, 8×8″ square saucepan, spatula, mixing bowl, espresso or coffee maker

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour*
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 4 tons maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup of espresso, freshly brewed and cooled (if needed, you can use espresso instead)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips or potato chips, containing 70% – 85% cocoa (you can use more or less according to your needs)

*I don’t recommend changing the coconut flour to a different flour because it is very absorbent and you need a small amount of coconut flour to make the recipe stick together.

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir to make sure there are no lumps.
  2. Add maple syrup, cooled espresso, and almond milk. Mix until fully mixed. It seems that there is not enough liquid, but it does.
  3. Use a spatula to flatten the mixture into an 8 inch x 8 inch baking pan. Refrigerate until firm. Remove from the baking tray and cut into 9 equal-sized strips.
  4. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a heatproof bowl in hot water. Dip each bar in chocolate to cover the bottom and sides. Drizzle a little chocolate on top. Let it solidify at room temperature or refrigerate to solidify.
  5. Store the bar in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last for a week or two. Unless you eat them all first!
