For someone who wants to fight as much as possible, it’s no surprise that Manny Pacquiao should take a break.
Although most people are afraid of the coronavirus forcing people to stay at home, a respite may be exactly what the eighth-level champion needs.
At 42 years old, most people know that Pacquiao will need all the rest he can get to heal his body and mind.
This seems to be the case for the boxing legend, who started the next battle with the undefeated Errol Spence Jr. on August 21.
Pacquiao said in an AFP report: “I have not participated in the competition for two years. It is a good thing for me to have this kind of rest.” Yahoo Sports“When I started my career, I never thought I was at this point now. Coming here now and still in my best condition, this is really a gift I received.”
Pacquiao was at a disadvantage in the battle with Spencer. He has a 35.7% chance of defeating the “truth” Odds Checker.
On the other hand, Spence has a 66.7% chance of winning Pac-Man.
But no matter what happens, boxing experts want to know Pacquiao’s next plan.
Some people say this may be his last battle, while others think he should continue fighting.
Age is an issue, but some people think that if Pacquiao wants, he can continue to fight. Some people specifically mentioned Bernard Hopkins, who fought until the age of 51.
“How old is Bernard Hopkins? He fought when he was 51. He was the ruler. We were trained to be a bit downhill after 25,” Cam F. Awesome said on Sports For All PH podcast.
“We have science. If you have the resources to take care of yourself? Manny Pacquiao is not 42 years old. He may be 42 years old. Remember what it was like at 42? They don’t look like that anymore.”
Some people think Pacquiao is much better than Hopkins. One of them is BRAVE CF middleweight champion Mohammad Fakhreddine when he appeared in Sports Bytes PH podcast Hosted by Brian Yalung and Rica Aquino.
“Manny is a different animal. I love that man,” the 37-year-old said.

When asked to weigh the game between Pacquiao and Spencer, the Lebanese mixed martial artist thought it would be a tough game. For him, it all boils down to a decision.
“This will be an uphill battle, but I will always be with Pacquiao,” Fahreddin predicted. “I think it will be a decision.”
