A South Carolina man was recovering from a three-month hospitalization after contracting COVID-19. He believed the virus was a hoax until he discovered it himself.
This news is the latest example of someone changing their position on the legality of COVID-19 (or the vaccine), who was once forced to fight the virus directly. As the highly contagious Delta strain has proliferated across the country, this increasingly common heart change highlights the severity of COVID-19.
For example, earlier last month, a woman died after giving birth due to complications related to COVID-19. According to reports, she texted her mother: “Mom, I wish I was vaccinated.”

Like many others, Willie Ballew of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, felt lucky to be alive after encountering this disease. “From nurses and doctors, they only gave me a 0% to 5% chance, I will succeed,” Explain Ballew to WSPA, Emphasized the seriousness of his condition.
According to news media reports, the 34-year-old was infected with COVID-19 in April. He started coughing and soon began to suffer from respiratory failure, at this time he was in a medically induced coma.

Ballew spent a total of 98 days in the hospital, lost 110 pounds, and underwent multiple surgeries in the process. Now, he and his family-his wife and son-have gone home, but his recovery has not yet been completed. “This is not COVID, but everything after COVID. This is the impact of COVID on your body,” he told WSPA.
He added that he lost strength in his right arm during the hospitalization and now he is working hard to recover his muscles.
At the same time, Baliu’s wife sent a message to those who still suspected the virus. “The COVID is real. If you don’t think so, please look at Willie,” Debrece Ballew said in an interview with WSPA. “I am grateful, my children are grateful.”
According to news media reports, Baliu received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday.
