Replacing 1.4 million tons of coal per year
Terra Solar said it will ensure the project’s electricity is fully available during peak demand periods. The company has negotiated a 20-year power supply agreement with Meralco that will provide 850 megawatts of solar power annually, which will replace about 1.4 million tons of coal or 930,000 liters of oil per year.
“Prime Infra has found the perfect time to pursue solar as we take advantage of the dramatic decline in installation costs over the past decade and improved battery energy storage system technology, which allows us to build economically vital and socially relevant at a global scale infrastructure like never before,” said Guillaume Lucci, President and CEO of Prime Infrastructure.
