There were five lucky winners of the $1 million prize in Saturday’s draw. The winners are from Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Tennessee.
The Match 5 plus Power Play draw included two winners from Maryland and Virginia, and these players won $2 million.
The next Powerball draw will be held on Wednesday, and the jackpot is estimated to climb to US$186 million, with a cash value of US$134.6 million.
Powerball winners can choose to receive a bonus through a lump-sum payment (also known as a cash option) or an annuity. Players who choose an annuity will receive an instant payment, followed by 29 annual fees, an increase of 5% each year.
