Facebook and Ray-Ban have jointly launched a low-key smart glasses called Ray-Ban Stories.

Videos and photos can be stored through the Facebook View application and can be accessed by pairing the Bluetooth of the glasses with an iPhone or Android phone. This will require a Facebook account.

The glasses will also be equipped with small speakers as earphones and microphones, which can play music or make calls. It can also work via Bluetooth.

A YouTuber named UrAvgConsumer Be interviewed Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg), he discussed the company’s reasons for entering the field. It was tried with Google Glass Explore in 2014, but the result was not good.

“We are creating the journey of augmented reality glasses,” Zuckerberg said.

“This technology is still under development, but as we work hard, we want to make the smartest glasses possible.

“You can easily capture the experience from your own perspective without taking yourself out of the present.”

But will glasses become a privacy issue? This issue may bother Facebook, a social media giant that has faced a series of privacy issues in recent years.

Joanna Stern, technology columnist Wall Street Journal, Conducted a trial run with glasses. She concluded that they could indeed be regarded as “spy glasses” and questioned whether users would harm the privacy of others.

When Stern asked Facebook and Ray-Ban’s parents Luxottica about privacy, they told her that privacy was built into the product and assured her that “These are for capturing spontaneous and fun moments. Kids! Roller coaster! Music! Yes! Sports! Glasses are great for these things, but-as I found out in my week of testing-my God, there is a gap between what the technology does and how it is used.”

The privacy settings of the glasses allow users to record for up to 30 seconds. Facebook also recommends that users explain to others that they are recording, when a light appears in the corner of the frame.

The glasses went on sale on Thursday, retail price is 299 dollars, there are many different styles, such as sunglasses and different colors of prescription glasses.
