Amazon began offering the service to other companies in Washington State earlier this year after testing the waters for its primary health care service.

The tech giant called Amazon Care has entered the healthcare field, including an application with virtual access and chat with registered nurses. If the clinician recommends a personal visit, a mobile nursing nurse can be sent to the person’s home to collect laboratory samples, vaccinate, and test for streptococcus and other common diseases.
The service also takes advantage of Amazon’s ability to deliver drugs to people’s homes that Amazon launched earlier this year.
Telemedicine services are available in a few states, including Washington, California, Virginia, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, Maryland, and Washington, DC. However, access to face-to-face services is more limited. Washington State, Washington DC, and Baltimore.
Insider’s Blake Dodge quoted anonymous sources as saying that this year, Amazon plans to expand its face-to-face services to Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas and Boston. Next year, Amazon Care will expand to 16 other cities.
When asked to verify its plan, an Amazon spokesperson said, “We do not comment on rumors or speculation.”
