ingredients you need

- chicken breast – I prefer organic chicken breast (Delivered directly to my door!), but you can use any boneless, skinless chicken breast. Boneless chicken thighs also work well.
- hot sauce – I like Classic Buffalo Saucebut regular Frank’s Red Hot Sauce or any spicy buffalo wing sauce will do.
- spices – garlic powderSea Salt and Black Pepper.
- butter – Keeps the chicken juicy and adds flavor. Use unsalted butter.
- blue cheese – Buy blue cheese cubes for the freshest flavor or crumble for convenience. If blue cheese isn’t your thing, grated mozzarella or cheddar are good options.
- onion – For decoration and seasoning. Chives are also a good choice.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken in the Oven
This section describes how to bake buffalo chicken breasts, with step-by-step photos and details about the technique. See the recipe card below for full instructions.
- season. Pat chicken with paper towels. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Mix in buffalo sauce. Heat the butter and buffalo sauce in a small bowl in the microwave until melted, then whisk until smooth. (You can also heat it on the stove if you prefer.


- brush. Place chicken breasts in a large roasting pan (this The size is huge! ), so the pieces have no or little contact. Transfer 1/4 cup buffalo sauce mixture to a separate small bowl (this will keep the rest from contaminating the raw chicken). Brush a thin layer of the buffalo sauce mixture over the chicken from a small bowl.
TIP: We add some sauce before baking and some sauce at the end.
Doing this will keep all the sauce from running off.
- bake. Cover the plate with foil and bake until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add more sauce. Remove the foil. Brush partially grilled buffalo chicken breasts with remaining buffalo sauce and top with crumbled blue cheese.


Tip: Add a probe thermometer before returning to the oven.
Probe thermometer (pictured above – you can get it here) will beep once it reaches your desired internal temperature (160 to 165 degrees Fahrenheit) so your buffalo chicken recipe will be very juicy.
- end. Roast for a few more minutes until the chicken is cooked through or the internal temperature reaches 160-165 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes (temperature will rise another 5 degrees while resting – should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Serve. Serve with sliced onions and, if desired, spoon any sauce from the bottom of the pan over the chicken.

Storage Instructions
- Shop: Store leftover chicken in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
- Reheat: Reheat chicken in a 350°F oven for best results, or microwave faster. You may need to stir together some extra buffalo sauce and melted butter mixture to serve after reheating.
- freeze: Freeze chicken breasts (preferably without cheese) in an airtight container for 2-3 months.

In a small bowl in the microwave, heat the buffalo sauce and butter until melted. Blend until smooth. (If you don’t want to microwave, you can melt the butter on the stove and add the buffalo sauce to a large bowl.)

Put the chicken breast in a Large stoneware baking pan Or place on a lined baking sheet so the pieces don’t touch. Transfer 1/4 cup buffalo sauce mixture to a separate small bowl. Brush a thin layer of the buffalo sauce mixture over the chicken from a small bowl.Cover the pan defeat.

Grilled Buffalo Chicken 22-27 minutesuntil the internal temperature reaches 155°F (68°C).

Remove the foil. Brush remaining buffalo sauce mixture over chicken. Top with blue cheese.

Put the chicken back in the oven, uncovered, because 2-4 minutesUntil the cheese is melted and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160 to 165 degrees F (it will rise a few more degrees when resting, so I find baking to 165 makes it too dry, but it’s up to you to be comfortable. )
