Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt. voluntarily expanded the frozen shrimp recalled to shrimp lovers in June. Due to possible Salmonella contamination issues, the company took precautionary measures.
On Friday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Avanti Frozen Food Another recall has been issued and will now apply to various sizes of frozen cooked, gutted and peeled shrimp, some of which are packaged in cocktail sauce, and will be sold nationwide between November 2020 and May 2021.

Some brands that sell contaminated products include Censea, CWNO, COS, Waterfront Bistro, Sea Cove, Food Lion, 365, Big River, Ahold, Nature’s Promise, Meijer, etc., and offer various unit sizes.

Salmonella can cause serious or even fatal infections in young children, people with weakened immune systems, and the frail or elderly. However, healthy people infected with Salmonella may experience nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
Encourage holders of contaminated frozen shrimp products to return them to the place of purchase.
