Over the years, many non-American Hollywood celebrities have become American citizens after continuing to work in this industry. Here are some actors who were not born in the United States, but immigrated to this country and became American citizens.
Kumer Nanjiani
The 43-year-old “Eternal Race” star Nanjiani was born in Pakistan. The actor once pointed out that it took him 15 years to obtain US citizenship.

Pamela Anderson

Ryan Reynolds

John Oliver
The 44-year-old British comedian John Oliver also became a citizen in 2019.Comedian tells Hollywood Report In 2020, “the feeling you get at the end of this process is overwhelming relief.”

Cobb Smodes
Canadian actress Cobie Smulders is widely known for her role in “How I Met Your Mother” and she also became a US citizen in September 2020.
“I have lived in the United States for 16 years and now work and pay taxes, make a villain, build a family, and make this country my home,” she said wrote On Instagram. “But I have been unable to vote. I am very happy to be able to vote in the upcoming November election. This is an opportunity that I will not waste. I am grateful that so many people work and live in this place more time than I have. It will not be possible for long or longer countries.”
Camila Cabello
