The Golden State Warriors are still mixing and matching their rotations, and Stephen Curry is no exception.
Over the years, under the leadership of Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Curry played the entire first and third quarters and missed the first six minutes of the second and fourth quarters. However, according to Kerr, the new rotation plan is to allow Curry to play for a few minutes in the middle of each quarter in order to keep him alive in the final minutes of the game.
In the new strategy, Curry can play the full fourth quarter, and he has done it in Thursday’s 104-89 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. So far, Kerr’s approach seems to work well, but the two-time NBA scoring champion admits that he is still adjusting to these changes.
“Yes or not,” Curry Tell reporter When asked after the game whether he would accept the new model. “[I’m] Just want to understand that this is the current situation, and try to improve efficiency when I go out. “
“At the end of the third quarter, we did not have much motivation, and at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the coach [Kerr] It’s like, “You know, if you really stick to it, we can make adjustments and let you stay there,”” he continued. “I’m just trying to understand that this is the rotation now, just locked me How can it be efficient. “
On the other hand, Kerr concluded that even before Curry’s full fourth quarter game against the Cavaliers, his new rotation mode was “working well” for the Warriors.
“[Curry’s] Used to it, I like it to let him start and end every quarter,” Kerr Tell Reporter Wednesday. “It’s also important to start each quarter. From the second and fourth onwards, I think it’s really good for this particular team we have. I think it’s working well so far.”

The Warriors currently have many versatile players, especially in the backcourt. Most importantly, Klay Thompson, who has already started playing 5 vs. 5 games in the team’s training, is about to return.
All in all, Curry knew that Coach Cole needed to design a system that would allow him to use all the talents of his Warriors.
“This is a big problem,” Curry Said before The Warriors have many options. “But this is the challenge we face, to balance how many people you can throw each night, and to create a solid rotation to help us win the championship, so this is the secret now.”
