As an important contributor to the defense industry and Turkey’s indigenous technology plan, STM will bring its many innovations and local products to the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF’21).
The 15th IDEF will be held at the TÜYAP Expo Conference Center in Istanbul from August 17 to 20, 2021. Many leading domestic and international defense companies will participate.
Under the leadership of the Presidential Palace of the Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey (SSB), STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş has completed many prestigious projects. Many outstanding products will be showcased at this event, from naval platforms to tactical micro-UAV systems, from integrated cyber security solutions to flexible ammunition belt systems.
Groundbreaking project for naval platforms
STM successfully brought Turkey’s naval platform expertise abroad, and served as the main contractor for the development of Turkey’s first indigenous frigate, TCG Istanbul. STM’s local engineering capabilities will be demonstrated on IDEF’21 through its naval platform project. Therefore, STM will showcase its MiLGEM, Class I frigate, logistics support ship, TS1700 submarine and offshore patrol vessel (OPV), and its new concept design at this event.
STM tactical mini drone system will occupy a place at the exhibition
As a leading and competitive manufacturer of unmanned and intelligent systems in China and the world, STM will also introduce to the industry its tactical mini-UAV, which is well-known in this field. The Rotary Wing Attack UAV loitering ammunition system KARGU was exported for the first time this year and was actively used by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF). The fixed-wing loitering ammunition system ALPAGU has successfully passed the ammunition shooting test. The autonomous multi-rotor reconnaissance drone TOGAN will be waiting for visitors at the STM booth . STM will continue its efforts in the KERKES project. Through this project, the drone platform will be able to operate independently of the Global Positioning System (GPS) and will showcase its group drone capabilities at the exhibition.
