What to put on the Thanksgiving charcuterie board
This section explains how to choose the best ingredients for your Thanksgiving charcuterie board, the role of each ingredient in the recipe, and substitution options.For measurements see Recipe card below.
- turkey carcass – For the body of the turkey, I used pears cut in half, but feel free to get creative with other fruits like apples or even a large grapefruit. For eyes, I used 2 Sugar Free Chocolate Chipsbut you can also use raisins or small pieces of dark chocolate.
- Cured meat – For Thanksgiving turkey feathers, I used salami and ham. You can also try adding turkey slices, ham or pepperoni. Or, for a vegetarian option, skip the meat and fan the cheese into a cheese board.
- cheese – Try different types of cheese. I used brie, cheddar, and white cheddar, but you can also choose other cheeses such as goat cheese, gouda, mozzarella, blue cheese or any hard and soft cheese you like mixture.
- fresh fruits – I added apples, pears, and pomegranate seeds to add seasonal flavor and color.You can also use dried fruit, grapes, oranges, apricots, berries, or even folded fruit leather For variety.
- olives – I chose pimento stuffed olives to add a pop of color, but you can also use regular green, black, or kalamata olives.
- Pickle – I added mini pickles (small cucumbers) to this board, but you can use any pickles you like.
- cranberry sauce – I did Sugar-free cranberry sauce, but any type will do. It goes well with crackers and cheese.
- fresh vegetables – This board has cucumbers and carrots. Bell pepper sticks, celery sticks, or cherry tomatoes would also work.
- cookie – Use any cookie you like.If you have time, you can make your own Flaxseed Cookies or crispy cheese biscuits Delicious and easy.
- nut – Use almonds, walnuts, pecans or any nut you like. You can also make this Thanksgiving charcuterie board nut-free by using sunflower seeds or cayenne pepper.

How to Make a Thanksgiving Charcuterie Board

- Make the turkey body. Cut the pear in half lengthwise for the turkey body. Use two mini chocolate chips for the eyes and cheddar cheese for the nose and legs.Place the body of the turkey in a lower position Slabs.
- Create feathers. Layer rolled or folded deli meat around pears.


- Place anchor points. Add pimento stuffed olives, pickles and cranberry sauce Ramkin and arrange it across the board.
- Add cheese. Arrange sliced cheese across the board.
- Fill in the gaps. Place cut fruits and vegetables across the board to fill in some of the larger gaps.
- Finish. Add cookies and nuts to the board to fill any remaining empty spaces.

You can customize your snack board with ingredients you like and have on hand, but here are some other ideas for styling and decorating your Thanksgiving charcuterie board:
- larger turkey shape – Instead of just using meat for the feathers, arrange all the ingredients (except those in the bowl) in a half circle around the body to create a larger array of feathers.
- Plain board – Make a Thanksgiving veggie tray by fanning carrot sticks, cucumbers, celery, broccoli and cherry tomatoes around a bowl ranch seasoning Or hummus.
- maple shape – use one Maple cookie cutter Cut a maple leaf into the brie and stuff it with pomegranate seeds.
- thanksgiving decorations – For extra holiday appeal, add decorative elements like mini pumpkins, colorful fall leaves, fresh herbs and decorative gourds.
Storage instructions
Keep all foods (except crunchy foods like nuts and crackers) safely in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can also slice everything a few hours before eating.
