A teenage student in Connecticut was arrested on Friday for allegedly editing a famous quote by Adolf Hitler in their high school yearbook.
According to the arrest record obtained by the Glastonbury Police Department Weekly newspaperHollister Tryon, 18, was arrested on two counts of third-degree computer crimes. Investigators stated that he was accused of “illegal access” to a computer database where students could enter items into the yearbook, such as their high-level quotes.
Allegedly, Tryon, who was still a student at Glastonbury High School at the time, edited an unsuspecting student’s senior quote, saying, “People around us didn’t realize what really happened to them. It’s a very special kind of Secret fun,” this is a quote from Hitler, but wrongly attributed by the students to George Freud, The man killed by the police in Minneapolis Derek Chauvin May 2020.
The second “computer crime” charge is related to the charge. Tryon also changed another student’s high-level offer without his knowledge, including drug reference and the name of the Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Glastonbury High School did not discover that the yearbook had been tampered with until it began distributing the yearbook in May. Since then, the school recalled the yearbook and issued an apology.
The school administrator said in a statement when recalling the yearbook: “We deeply regret that paranoia and vandalism were not discovered before the yearbook was printed.” “We are reviewing and will revise our procedures for collecting and reviewing the yearbook submitted by future students.”

The incident is similar to Quaker Valley High School in Leedsdale, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania School apologized in an email to the parents, refunded the purchased yearbook, and provided stickers to cover the illegal offer.
