According to reports, a bear tried to hibernate in a family home in the Netherlands, Colorado.
According to a report by Fox affiliate KDVR, without the knowledge of Michael and Judith Payne, a bear has been preparing to stay under their house in the winter.
The couple said that they only noticed the bear when a dog named Champ started barking at the bear.
“Then the bear came out, right at the door, except for the glass door, I was only a few inches away from it, and I was thinking’this is a wild animal’,” Judith Payne told KDVR.
The dog’s barking finally terrified the bear, and it retreated to the den it had built four to five feet below the couple’s house.
“I said,’That’s not good.’ We had bear wandering before, but no one settled down,” Michael Payne said.
“I don’t know. I don’t think he stayed there that long. They are only now beginning to settle down for the winter in the next few weeks, so I’m sure [the hole] Relatively new. “

They will also choose from a range of locations, including building a nest in hollow trees or logs, under roots, in cracks in rocks, or on tall trees in warm climates.

The Paynes family told KDVR that they were grateful that their uninvited guests left earlier than expected, but said they knew they lived in the bear country. Such incidents were not unheard of.
“We are encroaching on their habitat, really. We are their guests. These things happen when you live here,” said Michael Payne.
