An 11-year-old girl survived a plane crash, in which four other people, including her father, were killed.
The cause of the crash of the Island Airways commuter flight on Beaver Island, Michigan on Saturday, November 13 is under investigation.
According to 9and10news, the Sheriff’s Office of Charlotte County stated that the plane was flying to Welk Airport when it crashed.

The deceased victim was named Mike Perdue, and Kate Lees and Adam Kendall, who had just moved to the island, were reportedly planning to open a vineyard together.
The identity of Perdue’s 11-year-old daughter has not yet been determined. She is the only survivor of the crash.
She was taken by helicopter to McLaren North Michigan Hospital in Petoskey for treatment of serious injuries.
While a Coast Guard helicopter was undergoing training, they received an emergency message from Beaver Island.according to Petoskey News Review, People in the helicopter can see debris on the island and the local emergency medical team that has responded at the crash site.
“The AirStation Traverse City crew conducted a medical evacuation of two survivors of a commuter plane crash in Beaver Island, Michigan this afternoon,” USCG Great Lakes Twitter The account wrote.
“The crew of the MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was conducting a training flight when the emergency locator transmitter alert was received.
“The helicopter crew landed and provided assistance, and was able to lift and transport an 11-year-old female and an adult male to McLaren Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan.
“This 11-year-old child is undergoing chest compressions on his way to the hospital.”
The male adult was also taken to McLaren Hospital and later died from his injuries, but it is not clear which male victim this refers to.
The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the crash, said that the crashed plane was a Britton-Norman BN-2A.
According to local media reports, this is the first time an Island Airlines flight has crashed.
Aircraft crashes in this area are also rare. In February 2001, another airline operating on Beaver Island crashed in a wooded area nearly two miles from the airport runway during a foggy day.
After the crash, a mother and her three children had to survive in the cold woods for more than 15 hours until they were rescued.
The National Transportation Safety Board has been contacted for the latest status of the investigation.
