Post RedditAt the “I am A** hole” forum on Tuesday, Redditor u/Global_Rich2165 stated that they hope to keep the “real parent-child relationship” of their brothers and sisters a secret until they read their father’s will.
In their current viral post u/Global_Rich2165 has received more than 15,000 votes and more than 1,500 comments, explaining that their mother cheated their father “a lot”. Because of their mother’s many extramarital affairs, Redditor’s father always questioned Redditor’s parent-child relationship.
“On my 13th birthday, my father bought me a paternity test. Although the test results showed that I was indeed his, he accused me [or my mother] Sleep with the testers,” u/Global_Rich2165 wrote.
Redditor’s young brothers and sisters have had a poor attitude toward u/Global_Rich2165 for “years” because they also believe that the DNA test results are wrong. But Redditor’s siblings didn’t realize that they might not be their father’s biological children.
“I knew my sister was not my father’s for a long time,” u/Global_Rich2165 claimed.
“When I did my ancestor DNA test, my sister wanted to do one. My mother was frightened and admitted her indiscretion, and begged me to convince my sister that it was a waste of money and she could copy my results.” So , U/Global_Rich2165 does just that.
Redditor added that after his ex-wife performed a DNA test on her child, they also recently learned about their brother’s parent-child relationship.
“[L]Oh [sic] Behold, my brother’s children only seem to share relatives with my mother,” they said.
The reason u/Global_Rich2165 wants to keep this secret is because their father added a rule in his will stating that his estate can only be allocated to his biological children.
No one knows this except u/Global_Rich2165 and their mother.
They concluded: “[Would I be the a**hole] If I don’t tell my brothers and sisters, just let it read at will? Take everything and drive them out of the house? “

If the individual tries to prove the parent-child relationship for legal purposes, “the test must be performed in a medical setting [a legal DNA paternity test],” Cleveland Clinic saysOtherwise, a family paternity test can be used.
However, the clinic warned that ancestral DNA testing “can identify potential DNA matches, but only a DNA paternity test can prove a father-son DNA match.”
The cost of a home paternity test ranges from US$60 to US$200, while the cost of a legal test can be as high as US$500.
“Health insurance does not cover these costs,” the clinic said.
In the post, u/Global_Rich2165 explained that their husband thought ” [witholding all the paternity/will information] Is succumbing to their level. “But commentators believe that u/Global_Rich2165 has every right to succumb to the level of their family members.
“STOOP! STOOP! STOOP,” u/Libba_Loo shouted. “Seriously, NTA [not the a**hole], Your [half] Compatriots sound like qualified works. “
“NTA, if they are so stupid, then they should be hit hard. Take everything to the bank. Sorry, your family is terrible,” u/Khanover7 commented.
“NTA-it’s not succumbing to their level, it’s just following your father’s wishes, it’s not your fault, you shouldn’t share it anyway. Let it work,” u/kipha01 added.
