Nicole Hong There has been a shift from covering courts and criminal justice to writing articles on economics, including a focus on small businesses and technology companies. Before joining The Times, Nicole was a legal reporter for The Wall Street Journal, and her team won the 2019 Pulitzer National Reporting Award.
Mihir Zaviri Has moved from a general-task reporter to reporting on housing beats. Prior to joining The Times in 2018, Mihir worked for the Houston Chronicle.
James Barron For most of the past four years, one of the most famous and popular signatures on Metro will be the new author of the “New York Today” newsletter. James has anchored the pandemic review column for most of the past year, which is the core function of the virus tracking page in printed paper, so that A-4 is called the “Barron page” by some people.
After reporting on Albany for 8 years, I served as director for 5 years, Jesse McKinley Will be Metro’s traveling reporter in the northern state, covering the economy, politics and culture of our huge state, from the northern suburbs of New York City to the Adirondack Mountains to Buffalo.
